The Avenues Spring 2013

The latest edition of our local newsletter, The Avenues, should be making its way through residents letter boxes. Keep an eye out for our dedicated local paper boys and girls (of varying ages). They do a excellent job despite the weather.

A PDF version is also available. Take a look in Newletters in the Committee section of the website for the lastest and back dated copies of your local publication.

Refuse Collection Issues

Residents may have notified that our normal refuse collection procedures have been disrupted lately. Households should have received a update letter from Councillor Hendry explaining the situation. In short the bin lorries are temporarily not allowed to access the lanes because of Health & Safety issues to do with restricted space around the lorry. This has been triggered by a incident elsewhere in the city.

Until the situation is assessed and a permanent solution found, the council will manually move bins from your normal collection point to the roadside for uplift and will return bins later in the day. Therefore in theory your normal routine should not be affected.

As always, any elderly or disabled residents who are unable to pull their bins to its normal collect point can get assistance from LES Cleaning on 0141 287 9700.
